The Impact of Education on Educational Management

The importance of education is as important as the air that we breathe. It is the most significant need that everyone must have. Education is useful in many areas of life, particularly for society to improve all sectors in any country. Education will help people be effective members of society because the more knowledge person have is the better understanding that will have in any problem that may face. Also, it will give educated people self-satisfaction and self-confidence.
Educational management is one kind of knowledge that education sector should be aware of which can support graduated students from this section to learn how to process knowledge, talents and attitudes to modify more efficient planning and organizing education programs. Also, it leads, monitors and evaluates the methods of teaching and learning manners in school.
There are several causes and effects that can help to understand why people who are in charge of education ministry should look for educators who have degree in educational management such as having a high skills, developing staff, and reducing number of trainee of non-managerial staff.
One of the most significant issues that causes or leads people to study educational management is that degreed people will obtain high skills of specific management that help them run educational organizations more effectively. It will also enable them to manage schools or other administrative positions of education sector professionally. Since, more people are respect educated professionals.
Therefore, there is a need for educational managers with well-established knowledge in their field of expertise. When administrative employees in this sector have a good education nobody can fool them and they will not allow any suppression.
One type of skills that graduated from educational management should have is a better understanding of effective communication. A study at University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Iaşi (2011) mentioned that “Communication process always ends with providing feedback and therefore must pay special attention to this last link, because it opens the door listening effect. Effective managerial communication strategies is one of the instruments of change in education. School managers have learned some skills, behaviors and techniques.”
In other words, communication skills help managerial staff to run their organizations more successfully. This type of skill gives power to look for people who had degree in Educational Management and to figure out the differences between people who lack this degree and work in school administration.  So, having a strong skills and information in particular field will give all a better views in life if they are well educated.
Another reason that educational organizations should use educational management is because of their ability to provide what educational organization’s needs. These needs can be defined as obtaining excellent and up-to-date teachers, providing high quality of education, offering helpful, and flexible services to both parents and students.
For example, creating easy and helpful websites to serve advanced communication between schools and stakeholders. Educators who graduated as educational administrators can run the requirements for education sector. Because they have stronger knowledge, ability to manage and develop the staff based on their skills and the requirement of educational organization.
Tony Bush (2008) explained that the connection between the quality of leadership and schools efficiency depend on leaders’ effectiveness. Bush also emphasized that an effective leader or principal at a school should have a degree in educational management based on a study conducted in South Africa. This study proves that to have a successful educational organization requires to have employees with proper education and strong ability to expand staff’s ability. Education is essential especially in today’s society that requires a lot of improvement. In other words, education enable people power in controlling their jobs and opportunities to get a higher rank in society.
Also having people with degrees in educational management will reduce the number of trainee of non-managerial staff, and this reduces costs. Thus with basic knowledge they will have reduce expenditure.
In contrast those without basic training will require more. For example, managers cannot teach without training, so teachers cannot manage without training. Instead of spending money on training employees for the basic knowledge they can spend money on improving other skills. For instance, if we are training accountants they can be trained on new software systems that handle accounting, but not on basic knowledge.
According to Jennifer Alyson, Demand Media (2014), there is a need for school administrators due to job growth for them from 2010 to 2020 and school districts are looking for new students to join educational management to be ready for this vacancies. Also, Frederick Hess (2013) stated that “the training budget average, they spent 3.6 percent of their budget, or $19 million a piece on PD. Knowledge Delivery Systems (KDS) reports, “The real cost of professional development at the district and state level is seldom known. While line items specifically listing staff development total $3,000-$5,000 annually per teacher”.
Therefore, school administrators should have a degree in Educational Management. In addition to the reasons listed above, hiring people with this background will increase the productivity of the organization. For example, they may have experience with educational technologies that support education services including students, staff, and parents.
Similarly the organization will benefit because their education may lead them to new and different ideas that was not common. For example, using IPAD in learning inside class room. Having well trained staff also will give an opportunity for sharing experience and collaborating on new ideas. Moreover, educators with educational management background will be able to contribute in future plans based on their knowledge and focus on developing goals that educational organization look for rather than focus on improving their skills as teachers usually did to be leaders.
As earlier stated higher achievement in educational sector is a result of education and academic training in that field. To have a well-trained teacher staff requires well prepared educational manager, and this will reduce expenses.
One of the great benefits is to have the benefit of the education of educational managers in the organization. This can include such issues as financial management, collaboration among different managers, as well as issues like sharing technological expertise in education. Thus, we will have advanced schools that are ready to face any challenge that may appear in the future.  When we create schools that are run better then we will have better educated.
As a result, education will not only create a better person, but it will also afford a better life. I believe that education should be taken seriously because it is our only instrument to get the better of the world. When people are well educated world will be a better place to live in.
